WELCOME TO JERUSALEM, ISRAEL ~ MEMOR SPIRITUS

How amazing to be at the intersection of the Sacred Sites of the three Abrahamic Faiths!!

We are walking toward the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and hear the Muezzin

from the Mosque chanting the call to Prayer. We watch as the faithful touch

and kiss the slab where Jesus was laid, then we observe the Holy Ritual

in the Chapel...we exit and follow the alley along the stations of the cross...

I say a prayer for Leonard Nimoy at the Wailing Wall on the day he died.

We follow the age-old tradition of leaving notes requesting blessings

for all of our precious friends and family in the wall.

As we exit we are taken aback by the site of this Rabbi strolling through the Jewish Quarter...

We approach the entrance to Zion Gate this evening and are greeted

by the traditional strains of a fiddler...as we leave and the sun sets,

we are struck by the beauty of the Old City...
